SEA Conference PCO x ISVA x NORA - Philippine College of Optometrists

The first-ever Joint SEA Conference with NORA (Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association), ISVA (International Sports Vision Association), and PCO (Philippine College of Optometrists) was held last October 25-27, 2024 at the Marco Polo, Ortigas. Discussion themes were: Unravel the Mysteries of the Top 5 Binocular Vision Problems in Clinical Practice, Learning the Science and Practice of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation, and Sports Vision. The aim is to explore the role of neuro-optometric rehabilitation in treating neurological conditions that affect vision, including traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, concussions, and other neurological disorders, to explore the connection between visual skills, cognitive abilities, and physical performance in athletes, and to detect and manage the most common binocular vision problems encountered in practice.

PCO, together with NORA and ISVA, advocates strengthening the foundation of Philippine Optometrists on basic principles and diagnosing conditions to be able to manage patients better.
